Quality Initiatives- A publication for the Health Care Community in the State of New York
Summer 2006 - Focus on Medicare Beneficiaries' Rights This issue focuses on the rights of Medicare Beneficiaries to appeal when payment for certain non-hospital health care services is discontinued, Beneficiaries may exercise these rights whether they are enrolled in the traditional Medicare fee-for-service program or in a Medicare Advantage (formerly Medicare+Choice) Plan.
Spring 2006 - Medicare 8th Statement of Work Expectations and Priorities This issue of Quality Initiatives focuses the CMS's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization Program Priorities document. It contains a synopsis of IPRO's role, as the Medicare QIO in New York State, in working with New York's home health agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, and physician offices to realize CMS's vision: the right care for every person, every time. Each synopsis is linked to the corresponding section of the CMS document for more detailed information about the work we are performing with providers in each setting.
