Empire State Advantage

ESA Silver Award Winner IPRO has been recognized with Silver Certification under the Empire State Advantage (ESA) Excellence at Work program - the only training, mentoring and award program in New York that bases its assessments on the pre-eminent Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria.

ESA confers Silver Certification on New York State organizations that demonstrate highly effective, forward looking practices and a commitment to continual quality improvement. IPRO received the award based on a stringent examination of its management systems, work processes and employee and customer satisfaction survey results against ESA's "Model for Excellence" standards. The onsite assessment was performed by ESA's management experts and reviewed by a panel of judges.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001:2000 Systems Certification Emblem The IPRO Quality Management System has been certified as compliant with ISO 9001:2000 international quality standards by SGS International Services, Inc. (SGS ICS).

The voluntary certification indicates that IPRO meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 for the provision of health care services, including the design, development and implementation of Medicare and Medicaid quality improvement and assessment activities; data collection, analysis and validation; special studies; and consulting services.

ISO 9001:2000 is an international quality management standard and framework for business-to-business dealings, focusing on meeting customer quality and applicable regulatory requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance from the initial contracting stage through the delivery of service.

ISO certification guarantees IPRO's customers that a quality management system is in place, facilitating better systems processes and cost-effective management of the company. The implemented management framework helps identify any system gaps, provides a strong foundation for system improvement and assists in organizational compliance with other accreditation programs.

HONcode

HONcode accreditation seal This Web site is accredited by Health On the Net Foundation. It respects and pledges to honor the 8 principles of the HON Code of Conduct (HONcode). Health On the Net Foundation is the leading organization promoting and guiding the deployment of useful and reliable online medical and health information, and its appropriate and efficient use. Created in 1995, HON is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, accredited to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

URAC

URAC Accreditation Logo IPRO was one of the first organizations to be accredited by URAC to conduct external, independent reviews of managed care coverage disputes. A leading health care accreditation organization, URAC developed rigorous standards in 2001 designed to ensure that the independent review process is fair, objective and timely.
URAC standards assure that organizations that perform this service are free from conflicts of interest, establish qualifications for physician reviewers, address medical necessity and experimental treatment issues, have reasonable time periods for standard and expedited reviews, and appeals processes.
An organization with this URAC accreditation strives for a fair and impartial review process that is of benefit to both patients and physicians with grievances.

NCQA

IPRO has been certified by The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to conduct HEDIS® audits. IPRO employs a staff of NCQA-certified HEDIS® auditors with expertise in the calculation and validation of HEDIS® measures. IPRO has experience working with regional and national plans and evaluating complex systems, such as multiple claims, enrollment and provider systems; ensuring the proper integration of data into HEDIS® data warehouses; validating plans that have recently undergone merger or acquisition; evaluating source code prepared in multiple languages; and evaluating vendor data.

National Quality Forum

National Quality Forum Logo IPRO is an active member of the National Quality Forum (NQF), a not-for-profit membership organization created to develop and implement a national strategy for health care quality measurement and reporting.

NAHDO

The National Association of Health Data Organizations Logo IPRO is a member of The National Association of Health Data Organizations (NAHDO), a not-for-profit national membership organization dedicated to improving health care through the collection, analysis, dissemination, public availability, and use of health data.

eHI

The eHealth Initiative Logo The eHealth Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are the same: to drive improvement in the quality, safety, and efficiency of health care through information and information technology.
Both organizations are focused on engaging multiple and diverse stakeholders--including hospitals and other healthcare organizations, clinician groups, consumer and patient groups, employers and purchasers, health plans, health care information technology organizations, manufacturers, public health agencies, academic and research institutions, and public sector stakeholders--to define and then implement specific actions that will address the quality, safety and efficiency challenges of our health care system through the use of interoperable information technology.
