Andrea Goldstein, R.N., M.S.
Vice President, Medicare/Federal Health Care Assessment
Ms. Goldstein manages IPRO's fee-for-service Medicare and Federal case review activities, as well as the organization's Beneficiary Helpline, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Hospital Payment Monitoring programs.
Since joining IPRO twenty years ago, she has conducted internal and external utilization review and quality improvement activities, developed staff education programs, and managed multiple utilization review/quality improvement/data validation programs for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the States of New York and Vermont, and the Westchester County Department of Corrections. She has worked on health care policy and program evaluation projects, including validation of inpatient encounter data, with such organizations as PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG Consulting, EDS, and Aspen Systems, and designed data collection tools and program monitoring instruments to measure project success.
Ms. Goldstein has served on many CMS work groups including, most recently, strategic planning for the Medicare 8th Scope of Work, and helped to develop credentialing standards for case management programs as a representative to the American Accreditation Health Care Commission/URAC.
Ms. Goldstein received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany and a Masters Degree in Community Health Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
