Assistant Director

This individual will serve as the Assistant Director for IPRO's Article 28 D&TC survey staff including but not limited to work assignments which include providing guidance and direction in survey activities, writing Statement of Deficiency, and reviewing and responding to facility Plan of Correction. Responsibilities will also include assisting in the planning and management of the day-to-day activities of the IPRO Article 28 survey staff. The Assistant Director will also participate in onsite Article 28 surveys and in some aspects of the internal quality assurance activities of the Department of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Superior analytical and writing skills with the ability to present data and findings both orally and in writing to interested parties with varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of a full cycle project, including the coordination of internal and external workgroups.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of other staff.
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved Registered Professional Nurses training program.
  • Master's degree in public health, nursing, healthcare administration or related coursework preferred.
  • On site survey experience with knowledge of State regulations preferred.
  • Skilled in managing professional staff.
